Welcome to the web site for the Garden State Cancer Center at the Center for Molecular Medicine and Immunology. We are located at 520 Belleville Avenue in Belleville, NJ. This web site will keep you updated on our most current research and treatment efforts. The Center has focused on a biological approach to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. This treatment modality involves the use of the body's own defense system, or substances produced by it, to combat cancer and other related diseases. Our cutting-edge research in this area has the potential to impact on all of us, our loved ones, and future generations.

Cancer remains the second leading cause of death in New Jersey, as well as in our nation. Indeed, over 41,000 New Jerseyans will be diagnosed with cancer this year. Celebrating the opening of the Garden State Cancer Center in its permanent home was truly a milestone in our development. We can now accelerate our research programs and expand our involvement in clinical research throughout the tri-state region.

The 2009 Gala of Hope was a tremendous success. Thank you to all those who supported the Garden State Cancer Center Foundation. View photos from the event here.

With new grants awarded by the National Institutes of Health and other health related organizations, our continued growth will provide new affiliations and more opportunities for patients to be placed on clinical trials, thereby offering biological therapy as an option to patients for whom traditional treatments have not been effective. Research holds many answers. With continued support, we will find those answers.
